1.    Zayn Malik has defended his girlfriend Gigi Hadid in a single tweet after her sister Bella posted a Snapchat video of her.
2.    A Hollywood screenwriter and producer has accused Disney of copying the idea for its Oscar-winning animation Zootopia from him.
3.    James Corden has defended fellow US talk show host Jimmy Fallon over his interview with Donald Trump.

2.    Gary Goldman, whose credits include Total Recall and Minority Report, is suing the firm and says elements of the film are based on his work. He claims Disney copied themes, settings, plot, characters and dialogue and the title of his Zootopia concept.

1.    Apple has launched a red version of its iPhone 7 and 7 Plus as well as a new video app for iOS.

3.    Two street dogs in the south Indian city of Chennai (Madras) have become the unlikely heroes of a stabbing incident after helping apprehend the perpetrator.

3.    The two chased down and bit a man accused of stabbing one of his former colleagues on the roadside in what police describe as a "revenge attack". Locals were then able to catch the man, identified as R Raghunath.

1.    The Indonesian government stopped importing beef and chicken from Brazil because of the quality prior to the finding of uneatable meat that was exported from Brazil to a number of countries, an official said.
2.    The Trade Ministry has announced that meat stocks have been secured up to the fasting month of Ramadhan in May, thanks to buffalo meat imports from India.
3.    After four days of flooding, overflowing rivers in Kuantan Singingi regency, Riau, have paralyzed daily activities in several areas.

I have also stopped [meat imports] from Malaysia,” Agriculture Ministry’s livestock and animal health director general, I ketut Diarmita, said as reported by tempo.co on Thursday. He said several countries had stopped importing meat from Brazil, following the incident.
2.    Buffalo meat stocks now had reached 70,000 tons, while frozen beef stocks were between 60,000 and 70,000 tons, said Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukito, adding that the government would increase stocks based on demand.

1.    The new Disney/Pixar film Cars 3 will premiere at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival.
2.    Forty-four divers cleaned up the underwater area around Nusa Dua and Tanjung Benoa, two of the most popular destinations for snorkeling and watersports in Bali.
3.    Channel 4's ambitious reality show Eden has come to an end, eight months after the most recent episode was shown.

Anti-cement plant rally goes on after farmer’s death.
Following Tuesday’s death of a farmer demonstrator, about 100 NGO activists joined the Central Java farmers’ protest across from the State Palace on Wednesday, protesting a cement factory that they deem as endangering the villagers’ livelihood. The activists replaced hundreds of farmers who had held a daily rally since March 13.  The farmers went back to their home villages to bury their community member, Patmi, who died of heart attack early Tuesday.
